I have my dads GTI in the garage with the jet pump out and apart. The impeller and wear ring need replaced. I looked everywhere for an anwser to what impeller is in the boat so I can figure out what to put back in it. the impeller is stamped SeaDoo and S0001207 instead of the nine digit number that everyone says it should have. Any ideas as to what this impeller is? I have heard that the 01 717 GTI three seat is different than the others but I can"t find this number any where.

here are some pics

One of the part places will sell you a new impeller with exchange for about $60.
I can't think of their name off hand......maybe someone else will chime in with it.

BTW - Welcome to the forum Karl.

I'm not sure if this is going to be a lot of help but I do have the SeaDoo part numbers.
Old no. 271001150
New No. 267000199

I googled the new part no. and the stock impeller is available for around 225.00, if you can't find it PM me and I'll send you the link.

If you want an after market impeller go the the solas or skat track website, you should be able to match one up with your ski. The other option is to buy a used one PM minnetonka4me on this forum, he or his brother might have one.

Also SBT rebuilds impellers, http://www.shopsbt.com/jet-skis/jet-ski-pwc-impellers.html

Unfortuately most parts skis dont have a good prop on them....I have lots of cores cheap though! LOL

If you want it done cheap...SBT. If you want it done RIGHT...repair or replace from Skat-trak.

I have looked around and have seen Solas and Skat-Track, which I like the best, but I was looking for a way to find the pitch on the current impeller so when I get a new one I don't lose 20mph off the top or lose all the bottom to pull up skiers. The sea-doo books say it is a 9-20 pitch but I do not know that is the impeller that I have.

call impros They will set you up with what you need. Tell them what you want it to do and they will help you figure out what is best. They sell both solas and skat trak.

i blew up your pictures u sent and took a good look, if ur gonna keep the ski, i would replace impeller with a new, ill send u a link, they havin a sale right now, sorry to say, your old one is pretty raggety, replace impeller, and install brg and seal kit, with synthetic oil, and new wear ring, not real difficult of a job either, and lookin at old impeller, im sure u will notice a bigggg difference
