Does anyone have any experience installing a new engine?
As you may recall, I had a submerged engine (complete loss) so I replaced it. I am trying to get it installed but can NOT line up the old engine mounts!!! I can get only one bolt in and then the others will not line up. I've tried loosening up the mounts...prying the motor back and forth (with a 2X4)...muscleing it in...nothing is working. After one bolt is installed, the others are off by about 1/4"!!! GRRRRRRR
If the driveshaft would move back another 1/4", I believe it would slip right in.
Any ideas...I'm floundering here!!!!
