Ok here is the scoop, I took it out this year for the 1st time 2 weeks ago and it ran perfect all day with no problems. Yesterday I took it out and it ran great for a couple hrs then it started to act like it was running out of fuel. It would run ok till you gave it all throttle and then it would fall on its face and it got worse. I still had 1/2 tank of fuel so I switched it over to the reserve and it cleared right out and ran good for about 15 minutes then started acting up again.........I do have to say that when i put fuel in it yesterday morning the fuel pumps where going very very slow like something was wrong with them. I took me 10 minutes to pump 6 gallons of fuel so I am wondering if I picked up some trash or water. Is there a fuel filter on the GTI. This is the 1st one I have every owned and just bought it at the end of last year........Please any help would be great. Thanks in advance, Dale.

You probly have a bad selector valve. You should dump the fuel bowl of the water
separator/filter as a pre-ride, like opening the seat and smell for a gas leak Before
starting the engine. Examine the contents for water. you might consider a system cleaning includeing the carb filters. Bill

lift up storage lid and have a look under the steering assy. Should see 2-fuel lines running to a white cylinder looking thing, or its mounted under the seat up front. If you have grey fuel lines, then this is theproblem along with the selector valve, need to replacethe lines and clean the slector
