Ok, you need to remove the roatry valve cover to get the oil pupm out.. The
gear is inside the case and has a nut on it that needs to be removed to get the pump off.. All the block off kit is a metal plate, a small gasket and a couple of allen head bolts all for $15.00.. What I do is go to Home Depot and get a 1" wide 1/8 thick piece of aluminum and cut it to the correct size to cover where the pump came off.. Hold the cut piece over the old oil pump hole and mark the two bolt holes (be sure it covers correctly), then drill two holes the correct size. Get some gasket making silicone put around the hole and bolt the plate down using the old pump bolts.. I always have stuff around the shop for this, $15.00 seems a lot for $1.00 of parts! Or you can go to SBT and buy the kit..I think they have $20.00 or $25.00 minimum
