Maybe we can get a government funded "cash for 2 stroke" program going?

On a more serious note, I don't think it's possible to convert a 2-stroke into a 4-stroke. I'd be pitching a fit to anyone that woud listen.....people can drive around a H2 that gets 5mpg, but they are more worried about 2-stroke watercraft? Please.

Thought that was originally a 2 year study of the effect of 2 cycle PWC's on the lake, and was canceled???

Glad I just bought a 4cycle Seadoo Speedster!

2 stroke ban....

The reason for the 2 stroke ban is oil. The 2 stroke motors, except our Rotax, all put a sheen of oil on top of the water.

No, you can't change your motors to 4 strokes. If you could, you might as well buy a new boat. The only 4 stroke motor Rotax has is the 4-TEC. Several different horsepowers but all the same design. You'd likely spend anywhere from $3,500 to $5000 for the motor. Then, you'd have to gut your electrical system and replace it with one that would support the motors....

Here, on Big Creek Lake, they banned all boat motors. But, I can understand since it feeds our drinking water supply.......:ack:
