1997 XP hood is broken

Hello guys,

I was riding my jet ski and the noticed the hood starting lifting up in the front. I left that day and got it home and there were no bolts holding the hood to the latch anymore. They all fell out. It also looks like someone tried to do some fiberglass repair in that area before they put the screws in. Does anyone have an idea of what screws would work better or a better idea for securing the hood down?

Do not appear to be... maybe in like one hole or two.

On second look that repair looks horrible. If you can't get into the upper void to install large washers and lock nuts it might be time to find a replacement hood.

That's not cool. I agree the repair job is terrible. Do you think I could pull out that repair job and do it better?

Probably not. That area supports the entire weight of the hood when opened. It looks like the entire area broke out at one time.

Probably will have to replace it unfortunately.
