1997 seadoo challenger 15 ft steering

Hi I bought a 1997 seadoo chalenger 15 ft 110 hp seems the steering cable is frozen after unhooking at both ends the stering wheel turns ok so not a helm issue can I unstick the cable somehow or will I have to get a new steering cable and if so im having difficulty finding aftermarket cable at a decent price any suggestions either way would be greatly appreciated thanks mark.

I bought a part for my 97 challenger on ebay, might want to check there, I saved about 1/2 on a engine hatch cable on there, normally sells for $95.00 some guy had a brand new one for $50.00 on ebay. I installed myself and it works great.
