We are serious. The kits have the wrong springs for the dual carb seadoo's. The tab should be straight not bent.
You will have to get the correct springs or it will never run correctly even if you bent the tab to get the higher popoff.

It would be so nice if Mikuni would stop putting the springs in the kits.

Will do it tonight. I was about to install the carb tonight...

I listened to you guys and switched the spring tonight. Engine is in! Aligned and oil primed ..... 6 beers later!

It might just be the reflection but it looks like your wear ring is shot. The impeller looks fine, maybe just clean ip the leading edge with a file.

It's really difficult to take a good photo depicting the clearance between the wear ring and impeller. If you've got a long enough feeler gauge, see if it's in spec according to the shop manual. If you don't have the long gauge, see how many pieces of paper you can slide through the gap. When I installed my new ring and impeller, I could barely fit one piece. If you do install a new ring, and there is still a significant gap, you'll have to have the impeller redone. It's hard to tell what's what without pulling the impeller.

That engine looks great though. Nothing beats a clean looking ski!

An easy way to get a decent pic is to put a light on the backside of the impeller and take the picture from the other side. You can normally se the light leak through the gaps.

Pump is installed. Just waiting on the paint to cure 7 days before the clear coat on the exhaust.

After is the buffing and I want to change the colour of the hood and seat. Can't decide if it's going to be silver, red or blue!
