1995 Seadoo Speedster Enigne Dead Looking for Replacement

Hi guys,

Well the good news is that the boat is finised its rebuild and refurb. bad news is one of the engines is totally dead.

What im looking to do is find someone with and engine that is willing to send to Melbourne Australia as i can not find one here.

The other option i have is to source a jet ski with the same motor and donate that motor to the boat. the motor i have in the boat is a 657 and am wondering what models of PWC / Ski use this motor or even if a donation from a PWC to Jet Boat is even possible

The third option i ahve is to find a rebuild kit and have a mechanic rebuild the motor for me.

all i can ask for is ideas, help and contacts.


have also jsut found an engine on ebay that says the centre seals are letting oil leak into the cylinders. is this a really bad issue or between two motors ( one stuffed) could i fix this problem.

Yeah, I agree but I wonder how much the shipping cost to Australia would be. Would getting an SBT be worth the cost or rebuilding. If you use the warranty, then you have to pay that shipping charge again.

You asked about a ski engine. Yes, you have a few years worth of skis that used that same engine. The 1994 GTX, SPX and XPI and the 1993 XP.

Be careful, the 657 has an X model which you'll find in the 1995 GTX and SPX. It has a bit more horespower.

There may be a couple more out there I missed but your looking in between those years.:cheers:
