Hi All,
Changing the jet pump oil and have some questions.
1) When i removed the cone, instead of the expected oil coming out, a bit of water came out. There was no oil in it, just water. It wasn't full of water, but water nonetheless.
2) I blew it out to get all the water out of it, replaced the cone and oil (new seal), and when it was back together, the prop wouldn't spin. I couldn't spin it at all even using the driveshaft (the engine isn't in it so I put the driveshaft in and tried turning it by hand). I removed the cone thinking that the shaft wasn't positioned in the cone correctly, but it just presses up against the inside of the cone. I replaced the cone and before even completely tightening the 3 bolts it was already too tight to spin. Before taking the cone off the shaft spun freely. The shaft from the jetpump inside the cone has maybe 1/16 to 1/18 inch of forward/backward movement.
Thoughts on either of these would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael
