My next problem. my gauges on the pwc do not work. the gas light even when its full has the light on constantly. My mph gauge works just fine though. any guesses on where to start looking on these or could it just be the wiring harness is bad. please help

The problem with the gas gauge is most likely the float. Buy a new molded plastic float.

Mine has the same problem...

Mines exact opposite. My fuel gauge works, but my MPH gauge is unresponsive.

I would start by just making sure its all plugged up. Then go for the float in the tank.

There's a little paddle wheel right under the jet pump nozzle. That's the speedometer sensor. Check to see it it's there and if its spinning.

Good point Lou! Paddlewheels thow the magnet the sensor reads, the sensors are subject to corrosion and wouldn't send a signal. Get a paddlewheel kit. OnlySeadoo.com has them! fairly cheap too.

Sorry I didn't mean to steal the thread. My paddle is there, and as far as I can tell it has resistance. I have messed with it a lot and pretty much got tired of fooling with it. As long as I can see my gas level, I could care less to know how fast I'm going.
