I recently purchased my first jet ski, a 94 GTX. I was getting it ready to use this weekend and now suddenly it won't start. And advice would be appreciated. Here are the things I have done to is since it last ran- new battery (old battery was shot). The new battery is the right size. I will say I used a booster pack once ...to start it the last time it ran. Booster is a 12 volt. Last time it ran is ran very well. I changed the plugs, but since have put the tried and true old plugs back in. I have had it outside for a couple days whereas it usually has been stored inside. I checked the fuses and they are fine. I have spark. Compression is good (about 140 on both cylinders). I recently gassed it up and added "SeaFoam" treatment. Checked the ground and it is good and clean. My two guesses are that I may have damaged something with the booster or the gas treatment somehow caused a blockage. I put about a 1/2 oz of gas in each cylinder but that didn't seem to do anything. When it turns over with the plugs out (wires on post) I can see either smoke or spray coming out of the cylinders. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

What do you mean by "booster"? Is this a jump box or a battery charger? Double check the 5 amp. fuse inside the mpem box.

Also, while this is not your problem, it's not a good idea to use a gasoline additive, except for Stabil.

Sounds like you don't have any spark. Have you checked that yet? If you don't have a spark... open your electrical box, and look for bad connections.

Yes, He stated he has Spark! My guess is no previous maintenance! Grey fuel lines syndrome. 99% of Seadoo problems are fuel system related, one way or another. This means removeing gas lines, tank, selector switch, water separator/filter, and a carb cleaning. Thirsty
657 dual carbed engines need Clean fuel with Sta-bil and NO WATER, thats why I suggest it be replaced or cleaned entirely! Then you can
know your ski will not fail you far away from the launch. Whats been done recently?

Thanks! Jet Ski Started up.

Thank you everyone for all of the information you provided me with. I proudly woke the neighbors up this morning at 5:30 when I got it running. I believe I flooded it last night while trying to start it up. This morning it started up with some throttle and quite a bit of gas/oil came out of the exhaust. I let it run a little while, then let it sit. Tried to start again and it instantly fired up. Luckily, the machine has already had the fuel lines replaced. Thanks again to everyone who helped me out. I am a newbie and look forward to the day when I can help out others with their problems (as long as they have a really old GTX like me).

As pre-ride, take out front basket and dump/examine the separator bowl. It catches water & crud. If its a recurring, time to swab tank.
Use Marine Sta-bil at every fill-up, that will help condition all parts from todays corn juice in gas.
