ok so my buddy runs a ski shop, customer brought in a toasted 215 motor (dropped valve, head and a piston are junk) everything else however is fine, the guy had my boy put a complete 255 into his RXP

my buddy is pretty sure id be able to bolt on all the SC stuff, intake and what not onto mine (injectors, wiring, ecu etc also)

anyone have confirmation on if this true?

we know we need to redo a couple water lines and some small other things

155hp motor has cast pistion so youll need to install foged pistion that are use in the 215hp. also on the 215hp there is a gear on that crank witch drives the supercharger youll need to change that aswell. also what year it the motor that dropped a valve? there is a known problem with 2004-2005 dropping valves.

not sure what year the bad motor is, yeah we know about the crank gear

so aside from forged pistons i shouldnt need anything else?

we have a total parts motor, complete harness and ecu

that all i know to be diffrent. if its older like 04-05 i dont think there will be much diffrence. aslong as you switch asmuch of it as you can i think itll work. just make sure you change the pistions.

ive wanted to pull my motor to find an oil leak, so im sure swapping some piston wont be to bad

throttle cable, just though of this one, ill prolly try to extend mine first before sourcing antoher

Blocks......?

I just did a little snooping around to see what differences I might find between them. Like Sporsterjoel has mentioned, those few things you need to run the charger, looks like you might have a nice mod on the making.

I compared the supercharged and naturally aspirated models together from the 2004 GTX. The main component, being the block shares the same part numbers.

The only differences you'll have to watch for is bolted accessories. Just last week, someone got a head cover for his 787 and posted because his temp sensor wouldn't thread in. That was because the head cover was from the RFI model 787 engine.

So, if you run into trouble, it will be something like that. But, with the other engine, I think you'd have enough parts to just change out all of what you need!.........Let us know:cheers:

we are prolly gonna send the impeller out to cali to get redone

mike has a friend that works at seadoo, who might be able to snag us a good condition used SC piston (we still have 2 good ones from the bad motor) for lil to no cost

snipe can you cross the PN#s from the cams?
