$100.00 FOR A 1997 gtx. IS THIS A GOOD DEAL

I found a 1997 GTX with a bad motor for 100.00. everything is there but the computer. I just want it for a parts ski. Will most of these parts interchange with my 1997 GTI? parts such as starter, hood prop, speedo, jet pump, etc etc.... Just nice to have lots of extra parts, and nuts and bolts.

a good deal? that's a steal!! whether parts fit or not, you can sell off the parts and buy whatever you need for yours... the mirrors are worth $100...

No problem buddy I will check it out and let you know the condition. I'm prob going to get the parts off I want then just start selling the other stuff off. Was even thinking about re-building the GTX motor this winter and putting it in my GTI.

starter wont work...787 motor, you got the 717. Hood deflector will and gauges too. they're same ski but motor different.

Thanks all. Capt Scale came over last night and we tore into it for a while. He says I should just fix it, but my wife I think will kill me LOL. Funny the cylinder walls still have the factory cross hatch, and the pistons def look very good. Looks as if ski had flipped and filled up with salt and the people never tried to clean it after they flooded it. Prop also looks like brand new. We think the ski had very very low hours on it when they broke it. (not one ding on the prop)
I will start another thread on parts available.
