06 GTX bombardier acting like it has weeds

Hi I'm new here and am hoping for some advice on figuring out what could be wrong. Took my jet ski out the other day and had no issues what so ever and then jumped on it today for a spin and now it is acting like it may be weeded up. Problem is I have pulled it from the water checked under it in the grate and looked in the back and there is nothing I can see in there. So I dropped it back in and tried going in reverse and forward again and again and still no change. It does get up on plain but you have to really ease the throttle and then when u do finally get there it has no top end speed and the rpms seem to be spiking. Please help

Where are you in Michigan?

Sounds like it could be a wear ring or impeller problem. Has anyone checked the clearance between the blades and the wear ring?

Pull your pump out from the hull, there IS almost certainly some foreign object wrapped up in there. It only takes a twig or piece of rope wrapped up in there to screw up the waterflow.

You can also check your wear ring clearance while you have it out, but I have a doubt that would have changed suddenly from 1 ride to the next.... much more likely you got something sucked into the pump.
