Pulse line has gas in it.

I have a 97 GS 717. It runs good but a full throttle, it seems to cut back to 3/4 throttle. Carb looks clean but I did notice a little gas behind the pulse plastic diaphragm. I checked the engine and no gas in the crankcase. When I pulled the carb again, I noticed a little gas dripped from the pulse hose. Any ideas?

Only way to get liquid in that chamber is an internal leak in the carb or something being drawn up the pulse line. My money would be on liquid from the crank case. That area is sealed from the carb unless there is a hole in it.

I would test the regulator/rectifier although I don’t think that’s your issue. It sounds like it’s starving for fuel when attempting WOT. What is your high speed screw set at? And what is the factory settings? Possible air leak, try running the supply line directly to the top of the tank. Also have a look at the valve under the seat, possibly it’s not letting make up air into the fuel tank.
