05 rxt starter

Hi guys,

i am getting ready to put a new starter in my 05 rxt and was looking for any advice, or things to watch out for. Also was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to pick up a new starter. I would welcome anyones advice or comments

Starter

It will be easier to remove and install starter if you remove the cooling system hose at the front of the exhaust manifold.

Thanks I will keep that in mind when I get started. Do you know if there are any special tools that I will need?

I'm not sure what kinda bolts are used to hold the starter on. You'll have to use a mirror and a light and see what your dealing with. Probably torx.

If you get a 5 by 7 mirror and lay it against the inside of the hull and work off it and stand on the opposite side as the starter makes it much easier.The cable screw is 10mm and the starter screws are that common torx head thats on most of the engine.Hope this helps.
