Hey guys I'm new here so bare with me. I know this has probably been asked a lot but which way does the bellowed edge of the rave valve face? Towards the piston?

alot of water seems to be coming out of the rave valves. I just got a rebuilt SBT engine and put it in the water and there is water coming out of the bottom of the valve. It was alot of sluggish oil mixx at first but now its just water. Ideas? bad gasket? Should water even be coming through...

Still running and starting great, goes quite fast too. But will not rev as high or pic revs up at the same rate it did. Could this be something to do with the reed/rave valves? The best way I can describe it is that it feels like riding a motocross bike without the power bands...it seems to...
