XP PROBLEM PLEASE HELP (Shuts Off)

I have just bought another sea doo ski and i am took it out for the first time. I took off and it was running like a top and then all of the sudden it shut down... lost all power as if I hit the kill switch.? I am stumped the gauges go blank, if I reach up and hit the switch it starts and u can take off agian any ideas?? Anything would be greatly appreciated!!

You didn't say the year... but I'd say it's related to the lanyard.

If it's a 96 or newer... the contacts may just need cleaned.

It's a 96 and doesnot have the lanyard with the metal.

if its a 96xp, then you should have the landyard/dess system. Open up the ebox, see if theres an msd enhancer installed.
