Why was my account "blocked"?

I used to participate as WAJetboating. I received an email notification for a thread where I had provided an answer to someone's question, but upon visiting the site I was given a page that said my login had been "blocked" and that the block would "never" expire. Furthermore, the response I had posted earlier has vanished from the thread!

I am always careful to be polite, never use bad language, never insult others, etc. My WAJetboating account has been working perfectly for a while now. I have successfully participated on many threads. Today my account is blocked and I'm given no reason, no email, no notice.

I have created a new account, IDJetboating (I'm near the border between the two states), so that I can continue participating while we follow up on this mystery. I would appreciate going back to my original WAJetboating account so that my login remains consistent.

Waiting to hear from an administrator... thanks!

Message says "account banned"...?!?

Here is the message I'm receiving when I log in as WAJetboating:

SeaDoo/Merc 240EFI JetBoater's Forum

Date the ban will be lifted: Never

I'm baffled. Hope this helps diagnose the problem. Please let me know.

Thanks!

My responsibility...

Although we have cleared this problem up, I thought I would also, answer to this post.

As the moderator, it's my responsibilty to review posts and threads for content. In my haste today in reading through threads, I picked up something in a post you made. When I pulled up your profile to read furhter posts, I picked up on a few other things that led me to believe that there was activity going on that is agains't our policies.

Long time members of the forum who know me, know my primary goal here is not to ban people but help them. Through the correspondence today between you, me and the administrator, we were able to conclude that I had made a mistake.

The reason I'm answering to this thread? I'm not above anyone else in here and surely no better. I make mistakes just like everyone else. So, now that we have cleared this up, your username is now active again, I think we can put this behind us and move forward. Thanks for sticking by your guns when you knew you were right. That shows honesty and good character. In a PM to you, I did apologize. Here, I've made it public.
