I bought the 99 gtx limited this winter, snow on the ground. The guy said he didn't have a battery, my mistake I bought it anyway.
Now I have bought a new battery, put it in and all I got was a click.
I replaced the selinoid, and still got a click.
Crossed the selinoid, and still no starter.
I pulled the plugs in case there was fluid in the cylinder not allowing the motor to crank.
There was a drop of water where the spark occurs on the plug. Still no starter turning even with plugs removed
I removed the crank cover and was able to turn the shaft.
What's my next step? Im thinking to replace the starter and go from there but I don't want to replace it if the engine is taking water. COuld it just be condensation from winter.
Im thinking maybe the ski was taking on water and he ran the battery and starter out trying to get it to crank.
What would you do?
Next step.........
