whats the difference between a RXT 215and a GTX 215?

trying to learn the different models and expand my seadoo knowledge, looking at 2006 models and both are basically the same with a different hood yet one is labeled as a muscle craft and the other luxary performance?

also comparing new models on seadoo.com and everything is identical minus the height.. am i blind or are they basically the same ski with different names??

The GTX has more features especially the limited models of the 2006 model year. They have depth gauges and gps units as option on some newer one and so on. The RXT is a bare bones not many options just go fast type of ski. The 2013 model vary slightly more than the older ones.

I own one of each. An 09 and a 2010. When I bought them the dealer said same hull but one is performance and one is luxury.

There is a HUGE difference in the ride. Is the hulls are the same the. Then the ride plates MUST be different. Also the intake grate are different which does affect the ride as the RXT grabs or scoops water into the net area. The RXT is a considerably wetter ride as well. It splashes water forward and the. You run into it. The GTX is like driving a Caddy and the RXT is like a BMW. Smooth vs.much more crisp.

I do have a larger engine in my RXT with the Super Charger. I LOVE that ski.
