I always manage to make easy projects just a little more complicated. So I'm starting to switch out my old grey fuel lines on my 1999 GTX Ltd. and the "T" on the return line just snapped while trying to remove the line. I can't seem to find a specific reference to this part in the shop manual.

Can this be replaced (god, I hope so)?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try PM'ing Nick (minnetonka4me) he's probably got one. Or he'll probably pick up on your post.

BTW, welcome to the SeaDoo forum.

Yes, I can have a used one to you for $35. It's the whole fuel body. You can't get just the "T".

You should use new gaskets as well to install.

Not sure of the size of that fitting, but couldn't you drill and tap a thread into it and screw in a barbed brass T- fitting?

Anything is shadetree-able, the question is when is that shadetree repair gonna bite you in the ass?

And what is your time worth? Mine is $60 an hour, could take me two hours to fix it, so buying the correct part makes alot more sense.

I agree that his best option is $35, but if somebody else stumbles across this thread and the only option is dealer prices, then tapping a thread my be an option.
You guys sure have cheap labour over there.
I'm $120 an hour. But to thread a hole and supply a fitting would take about 5 minutes.

I am always shocked to here the price differences from Australia. I did a vacation there and found USA money to be near the value of your dollars. But things such as cost of "luxury" (aka toys) were considerably higher. When you can buy a ski/boat for THOUSANDS of dollars less from USA, pay for the shipping to Australia PLUS the taxes and it still worth doing,,,, that telly ya something..

There isnt much room there and the fittings are two different sizes. But whatever its not worth arguing about you could be right.

I get $100 for them b/c a set of carbs have to be cannibalized if you are gonna just sell that part. Ive got 3 sets of 951 carbs sitting here with that assembly missing.
