i'm new to seadoo's so i'm not sure of there exact power output or top speeds. i'd like to be able to keep up wiht my step-dads boat. he has a 2011 fourwinns h200 that has a 5.7L volvo penta. so i'm wondering if GTR 215, the wake 155, or the gts 130. according to him his boat goes 70mph. so any help on this would be great.

Well, unless he has built the engine up with an extra 100hp and repropped it, it won't do 70, more like 60 even with the 300hp volvo 5.7l. However, you can get an RXP, even an older one, that will do just under a true 70 bone stock and easily get over 70 with light mods. You'll beat him from any speed but his will be louder.

I wouldn't recommend a 130, you may lose that race but I'd bet it would be close.

His pitot isn't any better than our dreamometers.

The 215 will kick his azz all over the lake...in any water.

I love the look on the faces of boat owners who've dropped $60K on a fast boat only to have a pos $12K ski run circles around him while he's running wot.

If it's a coupla bassholes...even better.

well it will be good he left me high and dry when you took off on his Harley and i only had a Honda 125. so this will be great. ya i decided to go with a gtr 215 but i had a few questions on this unit. the one thing that is bugging me is that the salesman told me you have to re-build the super chargers on these units every 100 hours. I plan to add the rear boarding ladder, and the wake board side mount and ski pylon to the gtr has anyone else had these on other machines besides the wake series.

Re sc rebuild.....the 100hr mark is only a guidline on the newer skis like yours. Now...I can pull mine and send it to Jerry Gaddis for a rebuild. The parts plus labor...around $450(if my memory serves) and have it back and the ski on the water in less than 2 weeks.

The boarding ladder came stock on mine...worth it. I also had a pylon installed on mine after I first got it. It kinda throws people off...you know....like seeing a tow hitch on an SRT8.
