What Brand of tube works well w/sportster?

We have a sportster that we bought used last year, we love it. The problem is our teenagers love to tube, we with through 4 tubes in one month. They like to go fast and be slung out. I spent as much as $200 for these tubes. The last one I bought was an airhead, it lasted about an hour. I need some help, if I can't find one that can last, I will have to sell the boat and go back to a ski boat. All the ones that I bought were the ones that you lay on your stomach, I bought both the 2 and the 3 man tubes, none of these kids weigh more than 140 lbs. Please let me know what works for you.

I have a single tube made by seadoo actually. it hasheld up well so far. I also have a huge 3 person one that i bought last year at bass pro.I will test it out for the first time next weekend at norris lake. Where in TN are you?

If you are buying quality tubes, I don't think it will matter what boat you are towing it with. What is happening? Are they getting leaks? Breaking at the seams? Popping?

I have had several tubes pop on me I think it is because they lie on the capacity limits or don't test them properly. Always buy a tube made for adults i mean yeh they may be kids but a higher capacity tube will last longer also the tubes with the double casings are the best its the tube with a rubber casing over the tuber then the cloth around with the towing loop on the end

My family is all around 200 lbs and we usually double up and sometimes triple on tubes and pop 1 or 2 a year. Usually the seams pull apart on us. The tubes hold up pretty well in my opinion as they all say they are rated for 170 pound people or so. There is a tube called the big mable. It held up remarkably well for over a year, but its a big tube and can be hard to pull depending on your boat.

I have 2 Sevelor tubes that I got from their clearance store cheap. My 2 person tube got beat up all last year, and hasn't had any issues. I used my 1 person tube in the snow, and it will get used in the water for the first time today.

I paid $25 shipped for the one below (retail was $175) and $18 for my round one. (you can see it behind my Si)

Check eBay to see if they still have their outlet store.

Might try one of those bungee type rope. Might give less stress to the tube and make it last longer.

Another thing to think about is the booster ball. Its made by sportsstuff and really helps out. It will help keep the rope out of the water and the tube will never submarine. If any of you have had tube riders who didn't lean back enough starting out, then you know what I mean by the submarine.

For my Challenger, I use an O'Brian Super Screemer tube. So far, so good with it. I used to use it on my Mastercraft and we beat the crap out of it.

One man

We purchased a one man made by H O.
We've had it for two years and it is a lot of fun.
Pulled it with the GTS first year then the boat(speedster) the second year.
Its really well made, lots of stitching and support where the line attaches.
It has a limit of 175lbs and we use a 50ft tow line.

We have a seadoo "X-shaped" one we use for adults riding single (hard-core) and an O'Brien donut we use for the kids (because they can sit inside it). We've had adults on the O'Brien as well but it doesn't seem as strong as the seadoo one (which we've had for 3 years now).

I got to looking at the new one I have. It is made by sportstuff. They appear to make pretty good quality stuff. I will give it a good testing this weekend. That booster ball looks like a good idea too. Might have to pick one up.
