One last thing...you want some Anerobic (sp) gasket maker...it looks like red loctite and is right next to it at the store. Use it on the oring on the cone. let it set up for 15min before you put oil in it.

i am in the process of buying all the parts i need to fix my ski. on this site it has the impellers for a GREAT price and also has many different configurations available. http://www.parkeryamaha.com/solasseadooconcordimpeller.aspx?variation=36017

i have read that the sd-cd is what i need for my ski but i dont know what variation to get. 13/21 is what is recommended for a stock ski as you can see in this items description. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...0305406889&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT
my ski in my opinion is a little far from stock. so what configuration would yall recommend? please help me. i would love to get this order done tonight and hope i can get it all back together so i can go riding next weekend.

don't want to hijack, but i'm assuming the process would be the same for an 01 rxdi? the wear ring and impeller have about a 1/4" gap between them, so i want to change it.

Great price on the impeller.

Hey, Minnetonka,

What does the Anerobic sealant do, I've never used it before.

Also we need to get some of the new guys to post their Avatar.

it is a great price. do u think the 13/21 will be good or should i got with a 15/23? the 14/22 is $35 more for some reason.

as far as the anerobic sealant goes. it was a recommended purchase when i put the anti rattle cone, wear ring, and the impeller in my online cart. so apparently more than just minnetonka talks about it. but it is $17 a tube on that site and i havent ever heard of it being used before. there was also zero sealant of any kind on my factory cone. so a lil more explaination would be awesome. u havent ever steered me wrong yet, and i trust u, i just have no clue what u r talkin about. lol

Did you see my comment about posting and avatar? It can be anything you want, it just gives other members an idea about your interests.

I didn't have one for about a year and Minnetonka shamed me into it, so Im doing the same to you, what do think?????

What's the pitch on the stock impeller? Seadoo is usually pretty good about matching performance and speed. Do you want faster out of the hole or higher top end?

i just figured it would be a good time to take advantage of the upgrade while i am there considering my ski has just about every other "bolt on" i can think of.

the stock impeller is an aluminum 18.8. so i am wondering if the solas concord 13/21 is the best all around for my setup, or if another pitch available would be better.

it would spend 50%+ of the time with 2 riders or pulling a tube. i was able to do it before, but i had to stand up and lay over the handle bars to get it to plane out. but that was with ALL of the wear ring gone and only the hard plastice skeleton was left.

i listed all the mods that i know of on this ski on a few posts of mine in this topic.
i just got this ski 3 weeks ago and have ridden it twice.

that is just what solas recommends. i am pretty sure they havent updated their records and probably do not have a '90 gt that they keep testing the new impellers with. so they just leave the table for my ski alone considering that they have a tested impeller for sale and that parts for my ski are NOT in high demand for them.

when i went to this site http://impros.com/store/index.php/impellers/sea-doo/solas/solas-sd-cd-concord-impeller.html it shows that impeller as fitting the GT. from all of my research, the sd-cd means SD=140mm CD stands for the concord impeller then the numbers after it mean the pitch.

i am sure solas just hasnt tested my ski on any of the new impellers as they have come up. so they just leave the table the way it is considering my ski is definately not in high demand nor are parts for my particular ski going to make them a fortune.

i have found many tables on many different sites and every table i find has a different impeller listed as "recommended" for mine.

Dirtbikes4fun02 If you run into problems or just need a hand I'm in Ringgold. Just PM me, I'll be glad to help.

thanks jesse. that kool. i will let ya know how it turns out. u know anything about carbs? cause i think mine needs cleaning. for the first 10-20 minutes of riding the last 3 times i have had it out, the upper rpms are scattered and jump around and it slowly smooths out as the day goes by. it also takes a lil bit to get it started each time, and sometimes when u start it and try to take off, it will rev to 3k and then bog down and shut off unless u let off the throttle. but once u get it passed that crap it runs great and keeps running great till the next time u restart it.

well i placed my order earlier this week. i am expecting everything to be delivered this wednesday. should be able to put it all back together and have her ready for a test run by the weekend.

i ordered everything that i couldnt pickup at my local parts store from parker yamaha. they have some GREAT prices.

i also purchased some red and blue threadlocker. black rtv, and red anerobic gasket maker.

i think i have everything covered.
the cone kit i ordered is the anti rattle cone with an Oring, but i ordered an extra anyway. i also ordered an extra cone plug, and bought 4 extra small siphon hose Orings.
i got extra parts to keep in my shop so that i can keep any down time to a minimum, especially with em being cheap. i also purchase 6-5mm stainless washers for the cone kit.

does anybody else see anything i may be missing? i have a lil bit of time to still be able to get the parts i need before the weekend if i did forget.

Just make sure you got some marine grease and make sure the little rubber bumpers on your drivedhaft are still in good shape. Just take your time and don't come up with extra parts and you will b fine lol.

ok. all my parts came in today. WOW! that solas impeller looks NICE!...
i got the old impeller off with a cheater bar and an open end wrench while my fiance held it down. that sucked! i dont have a vice though, so it had to do.

when i took the old impeller off it is marked with a 7 on one side and its got another 7 on the other side but it isnt a stamped 7, its more carved instead of stamped like the one side. i also stuck a magnet to it, and it stuck. so looks like this is not the factory aluminum piece since the magnet stuck.
minnetonka: please chime in and lemme know. is that the "77" impeller you were refering to??? if not, what kind of impeller is the old one i just took off. it is also definately a sea doo impeller, it is stamped on the side.

problem is, if this impeller is a GOOD one. i might as well leave it on there and return the solas. but if its just a factory one, then im gonna put it on the shelf and run the solas.

thanks

run the nice pretty solas one and just keep yours as a back up lol, I am going to get a solas impellor to soon i hope it adds something
