So due to a cloggged fitting in my cooiling system, I found myself with a crack in my cylinder over this past winter. Cracked just above the fuel injector even after winterizing it. I dis-assembled the engine brought it to a reputable welder and had the cylinder repaired. As the damage was not in a stress related or critical area. However during the dis-assembly I noticed a measurable amount of water in the crankcase of the damaged cylinder. (Only after I dropped a washer in the crankcase). Its out by the way. The crankcase wasnt flooded with straight water or anything. Just a few ounces of milky oil/water mixture. Is that normal? I've checked the cylinder for additional damage and have found none. And it doesn't appear as if I can pressure test the water jackets in the cylinder. Should I be concerned? Is it possible that its just some water lost from the cylinders during dis-assembly? There wasnt much in the other side of the crankcase. I have to imagine that due to the low running temp of these engines and the large volume of air that passes through during the operation of the engine that some moisture is going to be present. just not sure how much. Ski is a 2001 GTX RFI with 787 rotax motor. about 110hrs
