Water in hull

Day two with was a blast! So, you can tell I'm new to seadoo ownership.

?--after done riding and boats on the trailer, drain plugs open--not much water drains out. However, when we start the clean up process, I've noticed water in the bottom of the hull (forward the engine). Is that normal? I've had to take a sponge to get it out--it's probably a gallon or two in each boat.

Thanks for your help.

Perfectly normal.

The carbon seal flings water in effort to cool itself, so the boat will pick up a couple gallons on a trip. Not enough to trigger the bilge pump, most of the time.

I personally use a wet-or-dry vac after each trip. Get it home, hose it out, and suck what doesn't drain out on its own.

Figured so--but had to ask.

When you say hose it out--do you mean go completing the flushing the exhaust process? I'm in lake water and wasn't sure I needed to do that each time.

Thoughts?

I usually hose the engine bay out after hosing out the interior. Gets all the sand and muddy footprints out. Not required, but just trying to keep it looking and smelling nice.

Suck it all dry afterwards.

We are on freshwater lake, and spend lots of time on the beach tracking mud and sand into the boat.
