VTS quit on 2009 wake 215

My VTS quit working all of a sudden. When I push on the up or down switch on handlebar the position gauge goes right to the top position with 1 quick push to move up and also goes all the way to the bottom position with 1 quick push down. But trim does not move and seems to be stuck in front down mode as front of seadoo is always almost under water. Have not tested out of water to see if the motor makes a sound or clicks like others have posted. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

First. Check the fuses.
Then, unplug the VTS motor and run wires from the battery to the plug of the motor. It should move in one direction. Swap the wires and it should go the other direction. If this all works as it should, then you likely have a bad VTS module. A VERY common failure and somewhat expensive part. If nothing else, move the nozzle to the middle and unplug things. A bad VTS module can smoke your MPEM. And they are big money.

Ok. I finally got to checking out my seadoo. I first checked the fuse and it looked fine to the eye. I took the cover off of the VTS motor (some water came out of the cover. About an inch deep. Not a good sign) and pulled the wire connectors apart and ran a wire from the battery to the motor wires and it did as you said. Went up with one connection and when reversed went the other. So I figured it must be the module. I decided to try a different fuse as I had spares. When I put fuse in the trim went up and down with no issues. I immediately thought that the fuse was blown. I checked it with my meter and it was fine. Confused I went back out and put the fuse back in and it didn't work again with either fuse. So not sure what to think now or what to do. Is it my module or something else?
