Vibration in Gear Shifter 1997 Challenger

Hi All. I am a recent new owner of a 1997 SeaDoo Challenger 1800, and am also new to boating so I will try to explain this as best I can. Took the boat out for the first time yesterday both engines fired up fine after tinkering with the choke a little. When crusing around staying under 25mph the boat does great, but when accelerating to speeds around 30+ the gear shifter begins to vibrate and shake quite rapidly...I don't believe that this is normal however as I mentioned before I am new to boating so I may just be paranoid. Any input on if this is something I need to do some further research into??

On the trailer, shift to forward. Go to the back of the boat and look at your reverser bucket. There should be a little metal clip that locks them in place. Make sure they are there and that there is no wobble in yoru buckets...
