Hi guyz,

Re 2003 GTX SC

Just a random question, I have a ground wire attached at one end to the block and the other end seems to have come adrift from somewhere, It looks like its pulled out of a connector or loom but I cant find where it was originally attached.

Anyone have any clues?

ok, sry for interrupting, question has been answered.

"Its a diagnostic wire put on by the mechanic and isn't a stock wire."

Apologies as I am unsure of how to delete this thread.

Scuzz,

Welcome to the forum.

Glad you found the solution to the mystery wire. How did you find out what it was?

Have fun this Summer (to you) ...Winter for us..... :)

Hey SDB, thx matey :)

Bmann picked it up in the meet n greet thread and what he was saying rang a bell from the days when I was running her in and bug sorting. ( http://www.seadooforum.com/showthread.php?58107-G-day&p=300931#post300931 )(hope that links)

That's nearly 10 years ago now and an old blokes memory isn't what it used to be and I've never had to have the lid off this one myself so didn't notice it before. I spose this time I was looking for problems when I ran across it.

There's a weep in the coolant hose there under the clamp which can be seen as crystallisation (because it has been sitting so long) so will dump the coolant, check the hose and change the clamp when i fit a VTS to her in Jan.

Yep, summer is looking good here, the troops are organising rides ( http://www.ozpwc.com/forum/forum.php ) but I'm not sure the old gurl will be ready for them till say Feb after I have done a bit of testing. I've had her been boxed up for 4 years so want to get her sorted before i go blue water with them.

Winter huh? we have it sorta but not like you guys, not many places here have snow, ya really have to go look for it. Mostly you can ride all year round but the water can get a bit chilly and rough. I never really got the winterising thing down pat because it never freezes here, mostly just wash, flush & fog it and take the battery leads off.

In my area, at the start of winter, is some of the best blue water riding conditions because the wind and swell drops right down for days at a time, days of glass water. Seems counter intuitive but in summer we often get high winds and big seas with only small breaks in the weather (as far as long distance riding is concerned). ~grinz~ The problem I have is gettin' someone to believe and come with me on a winter run, and sit round waiting for that pocket of magic water.

(Pic is in the middle of Bass Strait on a magic winter day)
