unknown hose? HELP PLEASE?

I have a 1999 gtx limited. I just started replacing all the grey lines as i learned from these threads that they are garbage. As i got to the carburetor i noticed a grey line that appears to be coming from underneath the carburetor (engine maybe?) that is not connected to anything on one end. There is a hose clamp on the end with a 90 degree angled metal piece that is flared like a tuba connected by the clamp. Is this supposed to be connected to the carburetor or is it some type of air intake? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Pulse line maybe? Was there an extra nipple on the carbs that wasnt attached to any hose?

i found out that the line going into the pump plate cover broke off. i ordered a new pump plate cover and hopefully will be back on the water next weekend.
