Trailer set up

I just bought a 2003 GTX 4-TEC and will be trailering the unit frequently about 100 miles. I wanted to make sure trailer was set up properly and found conflicting information. Your thoughts on set up would be appreciated.
In the owner's manual on page 80, it says "Ends of both trailer wood bunks should not be more than 102 inches away from watercraft bow attachment point." It is currently 122 inches. The craft overhangs the bunks by two inches. If I adhere to owner's manual, the overhang would jump to 22 inches. Sea-Doo's website provides no information. Google search came back with AI instructions that said craft should not overhang bunks in order to support engine. . Every picture I see on the internet has no or minimum overhang.
Your thoughts?
Thanks, Rearview

Mine overhands by about a foot, my skis are all 1996 and 8ft4" in length. I believe I have 6ft bunks on the double and 4ft on the single. The engine is gonna be right where you sit so I imagine as long as the bunk covers the mid section you are gonna be fine. Also towards the front when the starts to rise into the nose, there's not much need to have any extra bunk there since it won't be supporting anything and they usually snap off in a few years. As long as the bunks are spaced apart where the ski isn't resting on the chines and it's sitting centered on a 4 or 6' bunk you'll be fine.
