I have a chance to get a 07 supercharged doo for cheap cheap, and dont know if it worth the risk? The present owner has no idea what is wrong with it.. I have never been around a supercharged beast so a little wary... It has 72 hrs on it.. Looks like water in oil.. Cannot be cranked over, no click no nothing when try to start.. The thing looks brand new... Is there anyway of knowing whats up without a tear down?? Could this have happened from a roll over... Looks like coolant still in jug at rear.. If a blown head gasket or cracked block is the issue, are they worth all that?? Any idea of money it would take.. Would consider doing job myself as I have been around motors all my life.. Just not familer with this engine!! Any info would be very helpful... Thanks!!

unless it was darn near free or you want to part it out, i would pass. Could have had a supercharger washer crack and fall into the engine where it wreaked major havoc and now the entire motor is shot.

the rule i use, i learned it from dr honda, when buying a non-running ski do not pay more for it than you can make back if you have to part it.

What would an engine that had dropped a washer do or not do?? Does it lock the engine or simply bust it up internally... Im thinking the battery was dead is why it wouldnt even grunt when I hit her.. Are these skis known for this washer dropping?? I got another one with symptoms alot like this also could be had cheap, are these skis reliable even when repaired correctly or are they something to steer clear of?? I am just looking for something to have fun on, with little up keep... Both are in the 1000 to 1500 range!! Thanks again!!

they are just now getting the bugs worked out of the SC'ed skis. the have had a lot of washer problem with them. when they drop one they totally destroy the inturnals of the motor. even when operating correctly you have to rebuild the SC every 100 hours. it costs about ~300 bucks (i think). i stay away from the 4 stroke ski's entirely, but the non-SC 4 strokes are very reliable.

I don't buy any recreational vehicle used anymore. Even ones that "look" brand new and garage kept can be a nightmare in disguise! Go new!
