Taking in water

I have a 1999 GTX. I picked up about a 1" rock in the impeller. I took it apart and removed the rock with what I thought was no damage. Now if I leave it in the water, it takes water in. Where is it coming from and what do I need to replace to correct this?
thanks,

o-rings on the drain plugs, crack/chip in the carbon ring..(inside the hull, where the accordian boot is, just back from the grey cover),. Those, besides an obvious hole in the hull, is where water can get in, o-yeah, if the sponsons on side of hull are going bad (bolts going thru hull), then it'll leak there too.

Most likely damage to your Carbon Ring or Siphon Tubes.

Carbon ring - you will see water coming in from the area Seadooya described.

Siphon tubes - There are two 3"-4" plastic tubes sticking out in the Jet nozzle area. You will have to look through the jet nozzle and look upwards. You will either see the tubes sticking out or you will see two recesses with holes (they lead to the bailers that suck water out of the hull). The Siphon tubes could have been knocked out by the rock. The way they work is by creating a vacuum from the force of water being shot out of the jet pump and they "suck" water out from the bottom of the hull through the bailers. If the Siphon tubes are not present, there is a reverse effect...water will be sucked in to the hull, not out.

My guess is that it is the carbon ring if it takes on water just "sitting" in the water and not just riding.
