One of my 2 RXT's had a bearing failure in the supercharger this weekend.

I assume that makes the outer housing scrap metal at this point?
I know the impeller wheel is gone.

So now Im looking for a good used SC. Anyone out there upgraded and have an old one for sale?

Here is a couple of photos of the Carnage.

Yeah you'll definitely need a new impeller. Housing looks like the damage isn't that bad. Front or real bearing failure? Be sure to get all the pieces out of the engine and feel free to give us a call regarding a rebuild. We have used impellers in stock right now so that'll help the cost.

It was the bearing next to the Impeller, So I guess that is the rear one?

How much would you charge for a rebuild and a used impeller? I have gotten a used SC that I plan to install this weekend. BUT might get this one done as a backup.

Thanks,

I'll send you a PM for price...posting it makes for issues down the road when prices naturally increase.

That would be good if it is that bearing, as it likely means all the pieces are stuck inside the supercharger and haven't made it to the engine.

That appears to be the case!

PM received.

Just remember, it wasn't the washers that failed you this time around. If those bearings aren't replaced according to the service interval, they'll have a chance of failing like yours did as well.

How many hours and years since the sc was last rebuilt ?! Just wondering...

I rebuilt both of them last June. We put about 20 hours on them in that time.
I replaced my 04 and 06 with the newer ones, new part rollover number. They are beefed up. The local Sea Doo dealer matched the eBay price for me. I never worry about them, straight from factory.
But if I rebuild, I would send to Joe Z. Linked here at this site at the top.
