Starts great cold but Not when hot 94xp

After looking at lots of threads can't find the answer to this question.

Starts easy when cold and warms up quick.
But after running it 45min. stop to talk for some time.
The longer you stop the harder it is to start.
If it gets cold again it will start ok. Go figure
It seams like it is flooded because after starting it full throdle it starts fast.
The idle has been set at 1500 rpms in the water so it does not stall.

My guess is carbs, but it runs so good.

Thanks for your help.

Mine is doing the same thing... I rebuilt the ENTIRE fuel system, and like yours, it runs SOOO well....but it has trouble restarting sometimes after being ran hard...interested to see what the pro's have to say.

First... 1500 rpm's is the proper idle speed in the water.

Second... yup... it's flooded. So.........

1) the needle and seat are leaking.

2) You used an aftermarket diaphragm. They are known to cause problems.

3) the spring arm is higher than the carb body.

Pop the carb open, and take a look. An OEM Mikuni diaphragm has a red tit on it, and you will need a pressure gauge to check needle leak.

I to have replaced the fuel lines and all filter.
One per carb and one main filter under the handle bars.

I have tied turning off the gas while we sit and talk, did not help.

Thanks in advance

Sounds like I need to make a POP off tool and get a rebuild kit
from a Seadoo dealer.
Do think a pop tool can be had for less than the parts to build?
Thanks,

if you buy a pop off tool if 46$$$

Thanks for the suggestion, After looking online at new and DIY tools
I figured out that I may have the gauge in one of two tools at home.
Radiator pressure tester or a vacuum/pressure gauge.
I hope my vacuum gauge does both pos/neg pressure, my guess it will be the most accurate. It has been so long ago
that these tools were used, almost forgot that I had them.
One of these two is going to work out great with couple of fittings and some hose.

I'll post the adptor that I end up making for the tools. Tool hacking is fun.
Thanks
