I have a 97 Seadoo rebuilt the motor put new starter new battery my problem is when the spark plugs are in starter won’t crank over motor if I remove spark plugs engine spins like it wants to come out of ski I have cleaned all connection I ohm both cables they are good I think my rotary valve is timed correctly not sure what I am missing any help appreciated thanks in advance

It’s aftermarket from d&b have bought at lease 4 never had a issure

Yes I ohm cables good cleaned all connections jump solenoid put jumper cables on starter to solenoid positive wire gets really hot when I try to crank engine thanks in advance

Pull the spark plugs and make sure you can turn the engine over easily by hand.

Cables will ohm OK…. It’s when there’s a load.
Volt drop test.

Yes you are right and I do have a voltage drop where ever I test it under load from battery to solenoid from solenoid to starter but it’s a new 340 ca battery I load tested put starter on another ski spins like crazy and it’s a new starter put extra cable on ground to battery still have same problem
