Starter problem

Replaced battery on 2008 gti se 155, put wrong terminal on battery, corrected problem and now when I hit start it only clicks

First make certain the connections are good.

Jump the solenoid and it will ensure all of those connections, the battery and the starter are good.

Let us know the results then we will go from there.

how did you put the wrong terminal on? the wires in the ski are only long enough for the battery to go in one way i thought ?

regardless it almost sounds like a battery problem.. was the battery charged before you installed? all connections are clean and tight?

Do not jump start it by the way, it is ok to jump it from another battery but not a running vehicle.

The cables were long enough to allow this, since I hit the starter is it possible it blew a fuse?

It's possible you blew several fuses. Lets hope that is all you did. If you hurt true MPEM it will cost HUNDREDS of dollars.
