Hoping someone can help. We bought a 2005 Speedster twin supercharger two weeks ago. Test drove it on the lake and no problems. So we bought it a week later. Problem starts. First time we go to take it out the battery is dead. They left the kill switch on so no problems replacing. Although it gets more interesting. We take it out a few time. I think the second engine hesitates a bit but starts every time. Last time we took it out we get a rope sucked into the impeller of the hesitant engine. Since we were docking, we only tried to start it once again since we never saw the pope. Did not run it, did not start it again. Want home and spent a few hours working the rope off of the drive shaft. Thought it was all out so started the engine. Success! Both start. Ran for only a few seconds. Saw some more rope so worked the rest of it out. Now it gets interesting. Three days later after talking with the mechanic I go to put the boat in the water. We never leave the house. No beeps, or intermittent beeps. One engine starts regardless of beeps and the other, the one with the rope, no longer even responds to starter depression. No click..nothing. Then everything slowely dies. No radio, no lights no horn nothing. Take the battery back thinking bad battery. They test the battery and say it's at 75%. Luckily they replace it. So I take that back, put it in, turn the battery switch to on and everything responds again...except the beeps. The one engine will start, but the one that was starting and now has no rope in it will not. Any ideas? I'm lost. When the rope was in...no start...when it's almost out...starts..now that it's all out..no start. Thanks....sorry about any misspellings, iPad is dying too.
