Ok,

So last year I bought this seadoo and it was running. I took it out of the water and stored it in my garage. I did not properly winterize it. Trying to get it started this year has been unsuccessful. Here is what I have done so far.

Replaced the battery with a new one
Bought used carbs off ebay, with money back gurantee if they don't work
Drained old fuel and put fresh in
Compression is reading at 145 for each cylinder
I stuck a timing light up to each plug to see if it was getting spark and it was
Spark plugs were new last year so I didn't change them.

I'm not sure why shes not starting up. When I press the start button it will turn over and over fine and sounds strong but will not start up. Did I miss something obvious??? Thanks all.

Give it a shot of starter fluid, and see if it comes to life.

BUT... if you have the gray Tempo fuel hoses... you may have a plugged up fuel select valve... or filter.

Well, when I checked the spark plugs I shot some starter fluid into the chambers. Still didn't start. The lines are clear. What to check next? Thanks.

change your spark plugs, don't just clean them, put some gas in each cylinder, then try it. it should at least pop and try to fire. if it doesn't, check the spark by grounding the plug and looking for spark while cranking.

did you change the carbs you bought on ebay without going through them? it doesn't take but an hour to go through carbs and clean them, worth the peace of mind and the carb filters are probably clogged up.

Awesome got her started! I changed the spark plugs and put fuel down in the cylinders, now I have two new problems after getting her started.

1. I had to use the choke at first to get her to idle, which makes sense since she's cold, but when I give her gas she wants to stumble until she's warmed up a little. Sounds like I need to clean these carbs. Ill follow the guides on that.

2. I wanted to turn her off but the stop button was unresponsive. I even pulled the key off and she was still running???? I had to choke it off. Now whenever I put the key on I hear a long beep that doesn't stop. Before I would get the chirp, but now just a long beep. She will startup fine.

Thanks.

you don't have enough slack in the throttle cable or your idle is set too high, both will cause engine runaway on the trailer, you have to choke to kill it, nothing else will stop it. it's pretty normal for seadoos to be a little sluggish when just started, I wouldn't jump to any conclusions until you get it on the water, but I certainly would go through the carbs.

the beep may be overheat sensor, unplug it to check, could also be low fuel or low oil but should only be a 3 second long beep.
