Hey folks, just getting into the boating and looking to buy a Seadoo for the family to play with on a small lake. I am up in Ottawa Canada and have found a couple of options:
-1996 Speedster with trailer, cover, one top end of engine replaced, two new batteries $5800
- 2002 Sportster with trailer, cover, 2-stroke, no work done to date $8,400.00
I am trying to decide between the two and if I would want to have the two engines or not, which would mean double the chances of problems. I don't need speed, my kids are young, so no weight for pulling on tubes. One issue is the price, i do have a budget and the Sportster is a little over it, but its newer. is the 4 TEC better than 2-Stroke?
Any suggestions? both have agreed to water/compression tests. Are these prices in line? they do include a trailer, which i would think is about $1,000.00????
Appreciate the help!

Both prices are a little high, but I imagine in canada that is the norm. That makes it hard for me to make a comparison, since i dont know what they normally go for up there. As long as you check them out good, go with what you are comfortable with and what your budget allows. I would opt for the lower price to have money to spend on mods and stuff. There is always other stuff you want or need.
