Spark Plug Gap - .020 - .024???

I have a 1995 GTX Limited Jet Ski. Owners manual calls for NGK BR8ES plugs. Gap recommendation is .020 to .024. This confuses me a bit to have a range for a plug gap. If I am between these ranges is it ok? Or is there a more precise gap I should be trying to get to.

I just split the difference, .022. This ain't rocket science. LOL
