spark arrester removal

I looked/searched and could not find anything so . . I'll ask. I have a pair of 1996 Sea Doos. I need to get the spark arrester off. I can get the two clips on the inside by the engine off, and I can get the ones on the ends off. What is needed to get the two off that are between the ASB spark arrester body and the fiberglass body of the PWC. I have no room for my fat fingers. Does it take a special tool, or do you just hack at it with a screwdriver?

I'm trying not to screw up here. I am hoping this is where I am supposed to post a response because I have not been able to make any other spot work.

I was not clear in my original post. I agree those tools would be super to have, but I can't get to where I can use them. The spark arrester body . . that black . . I think ASP kind of looks like a torpedo sitting on top of the carburetor . . It has 8 6 clips . . The ash body is two pieces. You have 6 sliding clips to remove before you can get inside and use the tools recommended . . I THINK . . I can get the two sliding clips off the ends and and the two on the motor side, but I have not figured out how to remove the two sliding clips next to the fiberglass body.

Screws love to go down inside the intakes of those engines for whatever reason and get caught in the rotary valve, so be careful to use loc-tite blue on them so they don't rattle loose and fall inside.

I used to have one of them way back when, and I do recall it was tough to bet the airbox apart, but it's been so long ago I don't remember exactly the best way to gain access.

The little "T" end you push out of the way(it's flexible) and the slide the clip backwards towards where the "T" used to be. You don't take them all the way off if that's what you trying.

I think you are talking about the air box, there are six clips that hold the top to the bottom, just push the flexible part and push the clip in the same direction.
