Picked my boat up from the mechanic yesterday (new drive shaft seal and bearing) and kicked off early today for the lake. Off-loaded, parked the truck and began idling out of the no-wake zone. About the end of the zone, an BEEEEEP started going off, one engine died, and the other started acting up and wouldn't rev past about 3000. I turned around and was back at the dock in about 3 minutes. I opened the hatch to see lots of water and one of the coolant hoses off, and water coming into the bilge through the bulkhead fitting.

Bilge pump on, tool bag out, hose re-attached. Close call averted. Lesson learned...if there is an alarm going off, get to the dock.

YES....... don't ignore a beeper or warning lights...they are there for a purpose.
I hope you had some choice word for the mechanic that worked on it
