Hi Guys, Does anyone know what the shipping cost would be to ship say a Speedster or Challenger, from the U.S.A to the U.K? Obviously it would depend on which coast, but if someone can give me a rough idea of cost from both coasts I would be grateful. Looking at your price of boats and the currency conversion, you are getting a lot more boat for the money. Thanking you,--------------- gcoops

Dont you guys prefer diesel boats over there? Isnt gasoline really expensive in the UK? Dont see how you'd convert a Seadoo into Diesel.

Craig

Hi Craig, I never really gave it much thought on gas consumption! Our gas is more expensive than you lucky guys, but we have learnt just to live with it-- just!!! How much consumption would it take to run a twin at moderate speed for a distance of around a mile?---gcoops

Hi

Well my Challenger (twin Engine model ) runs for 1 1/2 hrs at full tilt
and the tank holds 40 us gallons
now a US gallon is only 3,45 litres compared to 4.54 Litres in a Imperial (British Gallon ) so say around approx 29 UK Gallons at what is it now 5 pound a gallon

Bloody good fun though !!
you will need to check out do UK lakes have speed limits I almost sure Windermere does but not sure of others

I had a container shipped from UK To US
North Wales to Orlando and it cost 4.000 sterling
that included trucking charges both ends at was a 40 foot container

also bear in mind possible import duty and VAT
I didnt have to pay anything on mine coming into USA but it did contain an aircraft in pieces so classed as parts and they are exempt from import duties!!!
do some research first or get a free quote from a shipping agent

I as a truck driver LONG HAUL know that a container shipped from Canada to England or Scotland is cheeper adjusted for currency exchange rate than shipping from Jersy , that was 2 years ago. AND a container can be filled with anything you like that is . Post a notice that you plan on bringing in a container in the area you wanted to ship it from and you couls get your boat shipped and make money.

Hi Guys, Thanks for the reply. Seadoo-Owner, our price for a gallon has gone down slightly and is now £4.10 a gallon. So a quick calculation tells me that a days enjoyment using the Seadoo is going to cost me around £120. I was more thinking about using it in sea water as we have a nice stretch of, mostly calm, sheltered waterway close by. Apart from the usual sea water corrosion, do you think Seadoo Jet Boats would be more attacked?? If shipping costs is around the £4000 mark, then buying in the U.S.A is out, and your right, import duty and tax would make it a no go situation! Shame as your boats are much cheaper. Seadoopilot, point taken. I will look into, maybe???
