This is my first tower, boat has 65 total hours on it. Tower snapped.
My dealer called and apologized and got me a new tower, sounds great.
So i went and had it installed...... sounds good right?

I go to pick up my boat to find that Seadoo has TOTALLY redesigned the tower for my speedster. Meaning my bimini top does not fit anymore, and they wont replace it. The towers tubes are at least double the size.
Meaning modifications to all my speakers/wakeracks ect.
Fine Ill deal with that, but the bimini top thing is just wacked

I would keep complaining up the food chain till they buy a new bimini or compensate you somehow.

I'm just glad no one was hurt, and generally, it sounds like Bombadier took care of you despite being 3 yrs later and out of warranty.

^Keep pressing on the bimini as RF suggests, but I'm thinkin you're ahead of the game already.

You might want to see if you Bimini can be modified to fit the new beefer tower. I'm sure it's just a difference in the aluminum tubes.

This was attempted before i vented....

The connectors at the end are different, the aluminum needs to be bent and the fabric is now not long enough.... far too much to adapt.

Have you complained to anyone higher up than your local dealer? Others on here have done that and it worked for them.

so, here we are......

BRP said uh uh...NO WAY.....

Then I get a call from my dealer... "I screamed at the rep and yada yada yada... your new bimini top will be here next month...its being shipped by ground from Quebec"

RTR Performance in Kamloops BC is phenominal... great service and they really go to bat for the customers....

I am actually very surprised the reason being is that the redesign was for safty and while I can relate and understand why you are upset at the same time at least they fixed the mistake and redisigned the tower correctly, a bim is actually optional parts and they are not required to compansate for such however as you found if you have enough to say sometimes they do budge, but never expect for them to just say yes without a fight, its the name of the game. Us as businesses fight warranty problems all the time and is always a pain in the rear.
