I just pulled my jet pump off my 2004 4-tec sportster today to replace a wear ring and found more damage. The veins have large chunks out of them, so I am looking to replace the housing. Does anyone know what housings will fit my boat? Will any 155mm pump fit? And also do I go with a brass pump or do I stick with the composite?

Pretty sure PWC housings won't fit your Boat. You may want to try posting in the correct forum for correct information. GIGO.

Sorry I didn't realize I clicked on the wrong category, but even still I know there are at least a few housings that do work, Im just wondering if most the 4-tec ones do.

If you go to the Sea Doo website, you can pull your part number from their schematics. Then just do a google search for your part number and see what comes up. If you THINK that a specific ski may fit, you can go to that skis schematic and see if the part number is the same...

Since it is winter time, you really have nothing but time to do some digging...

Thanks thats how I was looking it up, but I noticed some have brass veins, I would prefer that if its better but then it will have a different part number.

Though brass pump housings and vanes are certainly stronger, (brass pump housings do produce quicker response as well), you need some sort of a weak link.

If everything is built to high strength standards, if there is some sort of a failure, it is normally pretty dramatic. I personally would rather a all brass setup and would take the risk based on where I ride and what not. Just mentioning it to give you something to think about...
