buzzer has the 2 bepps when landyard connected.
all fuses ok front and back
new battery fitted
all conections in rear box good

thanks mark

just been reading thiugh old posts and found this

disconnect the wire that bridges the CD, and the MPEM. If you get spark... you have a bad MPEM. If you don't... then check everything.

on the mpem/ecu, theres a blk/red wire that goes to the coil. That same wire, also branches off to a butt connector. Disconnect that connector, and hit start button. If it fires up, you'll need to pull the choke to kill ski, since you bypassed all workings. If it does fire up, you'll need a new mpem/ecu.

This may not be for your machine, and its from seadoya from another post, not my knowledge. I dont even know if you have those wires..

thats on older (early 90's) model mpems.

Pull the white wire at coil, probe light tester to the connector, and hit start button, if it lights up, then you got a coil/plug wire-boot issue. If not, then start looking at fuses and stator assy, before you buy new mpem.

ive tested the white wire and have nothing there all fuses ok and conections good any outher tests to do?

Hi, not to butt in but i have the same problem and am following the testing directions so far, waiting for the stator test instructions, thanks

Stator test:
There are 5 wires going into the front of the engine: 3 yellow, 1 yellow and white and 1 black and yellow.
The 3 yellow wires should have continuity (connection) between themselves and no continuity between any of them and engine ground.
Connect the ohm meter between the yellow/white wire and the black/yellow wire. They should read 190-300 ohms.

Good luck, DAWG

Fixed

it was the coil, thanks for all the help everyone, its worth it to join the premium site for the experts and the manuals

Premium membership is definitely worth the money! Only the person having the issue with the ski really knows what's going on with it! Most of the time we're quoting what we have in our manuals or from previous experiences and sometimes are not the same issues you might be having! You definitely get more help the "experts" on the premium side, but there're a lot of knowledgeable folks over here as well! Glad to here you got your machine fixed! Think of the money you just saved!
