If your referring to the fact, that that was the first year of Seadoos' 947motor, then i would agree. Let the first year, be a trial and work bugs out.

Yup, the 98 GSX Limited with a gray top deck had the bad white 947 engine and is usually referred to as the 97.5 GSXL. The 98 GSX Limited with a red top deck had the updated gray 947 engine. Also, most of the engine parts are not interchangeable.
